Hello! Thank you for stopping by for a visit! I am happy you are taking a little bit of time to read about me! My name is Tina M. Duel and I live in the Green Mountains of Vermont. This is such a beautiful area and is my creative inspiration for most of my craft, scrapbook, painting, and writing works.
During my childhood exposure to the arts and crafts can be credited to my grandmothers while my sewing skills were learned with the guidance of my mother. Throughout my parenting years, I was very creative, thinking of projects for my children to make much like my grandmothers did for me. Since then, I am a self-taught crafter using any and all possible resources to build my artistic skills and learn new ones.
My interests in sewing and general crafts is still strong, yet have opened up my artistic possibilities and have ventured out into other craft areas. Believing genealogy and preserving family photographs are very important steps in the preservation of my own lineage, I have started tracing my family heritage and have taught myself the art of making scrapbooks. I also believe memories can be expressed and savored through photographs and paintings and have taught myself how to paint landscape scenery as will as decorative painting. I am still perfecting my photography skills.
It is from the culmination of my experiences, my exposure to the arts and crafts at an early age, my love for country and primitive crafts, my interest in preserving family history and genealogy, and my drive to keep learning new things that inspired me to open Country Road Crafts ‘N Keepsakes in 2007. From my repertoire of lifelong exploring and learning, I have the wisdom, knowledge, and aspiration to be able to offer my artistic creations for others to enjoy!
Currently, my concentration of interests lie in creating primitive country crafts, sewing, preserving history through designing personal scrapbooks and writing family history storybooks, photography, and artistic painting. I strive to do quality work and continue to explore and learn more about these artistic areas so that I may offer you unique, one-of-a-kind handcrafted primitives.
